Our Story

When renewables transitioned from a tariff-based to an open market, investors were caught in a wind storm. A market that once was subsidised and stable, had now become complex and volatile. With no centralised platform offering investors reliable market intel, trading tools and expertise, investors had to rely on their own experience.

This is when Michael Waldner and Luca Pedretti, two international energy traders, realised that the renewable energy market was in dire need of a centralised platform. A quasi Bloomberg for wind, solar and hydro that would help investors optimise their power sales.

Together with Florian Müller as CTO, they decided to found Pexapark and grew it into a company of 20 talented software engineers and energy professionals. Today, Pexapark is quickly becoming the industry standard for renewable energy revenues and risks thanks to a candid formula: favour bold ideas, hire brilliant people and build an inspiring culture.
